BACKGROUND
Stephen Hayes is a registered child and educational psychologist. He has worked in various school settings for over 20 years (as a primary school teacher and as a psychologist). Stephen currently works as a psychologist in a primary school, as well as in private practice.

Stephen specialises in the diagnosis and remediation of children's social and emotional issues (anxiety, depression, social skills, autism and Asperger's Syndrome, bullying, grief and loss through parental separation / death, trauma, school refusal); behavioural issues (conduct disorders); learning difficulties; the identification of gifted students (and program planning to meet their needs); academic achievement; school readiness for pre-schoolers; transition to secondary school issues; parenting; and behaviour management.

Stephen holds a master's degree in psychology from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Stephen is also an accredited psychologist supervisor.
